                                                  Chapter 7

Sighing, he stood silently and stepped down the sandstone aisle way with the rugged red carpet.

A woman with red hair up in a ponytail and long golden earrings, wearing a bikini top in the same design as Ganondorf's cape and a front-back-flap type dress walked beside him, her dark mocha skin bright in comparison to his.

"You have sensed it, Milord?"

"Yes." He answered darkly, "The same boy holds it."

"But Lord Ganondorf!" She exclaimed, 'No human can hold more than one Triforce Piece in his or her hand without putting them all in play. You beat that into my head!"

Ganondorf turned abruptly, stopping and glaring at her, the torches mounted on the walls making shadows dance in the wrinkles and nooks, even the crannies of his dark, off-colored grayish green skin, "I know that, Nabooru, thank you for your insight." He assured her in a cold growl.

She fell silent.

Ganondorf glared at her a moment longer, "...." He turned to continue his walk, "Someone has put the Triforce in play. Only one other person has a Triforce Piece, and that is Zelda." He shook his head, 'But that makes NO sense! She'd have to be CERTAIN of winning to do such a thing, or to note the odds are in her favor, and now, they are NOT."

Nabooru shrugged, 'What can we do, then...?"

"We can only state that Zelda has a trump card of some kind, and if it's that foolish red-armored bastard, then she's got another thing coming. But I sense only that the Triforce of Courage is traveling..."

"To where, Milord Ganondorf, to what location?"

He rubbed a temple, "...He hasn't moved in some time, but he is at Lon Lon ranch. Perhaps staying a night. That boy... if I had his name, I could easily have him hand over the Triforce piece by normal means."

Nabooru watched him a moment, "...Lord Ganondorf, you haven't paid any attention to the Triforce of Wisdom. Where is it?"

Ganondorf looked agitated, "Probably at the castle, Nabooru, go to the chambers, or something-"

"With all due respect, in sincerest regards," She put a strong fist to her large breast, "I believe it would only hold strategic reason to check. Why else would the Triforce of Courage child be moving? Perhaps Zelda is-"

"Using.... him...." Hi grin widened, "I can feel it. BOTH Triforce are together! This is perfect! In this case, I can easily steal them both."

"Not if the two Triforce react at once upon the users, Milord." Nabooru reminded him, "Though weakest, Triforce of Courage is unobtainable when paired with one of the other two."

A snort.

"That's what you said about the Triforce of Power, my dear." He raised a bushy eyebrow, which connected with his hairline like it's brother, "...However, precautions, precautions... Zelda knows how the Triforce works, and by putting them in play, she must know something about pulling the pieces from others I don't yet."

"Very well observed..." Nabooru complimented.

"Shut up, Nabooru." He griped, "You'll go to the bed chamber now, and I'll be there in a bit."

"..." She put her fist to her chest again and bowed, "Yes, Lord Ganondorf." she then walked off, lamenting what was to come.

Ganondorf was a sadistic bastard.

and he took advantage of her helplessness, and her most striking of beauty among the Gerudo.

He was their lord.

soon to become a king.

She would not refuse him.

Ganondorf smirked to himself.

If that boy was going where he thought...

to the sacred realm...

His smirk widened to a grin.

Nabooru felt the chill run up her as she laid in bed to wait, hearing the insane, deep laugh of a man whom had found a way to get what he wanted.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Link smiled in his sleep.
he looked nothing like a hero, curled up in his blankets, sleeping soundly, his townsfolk garb on the floor all over.
He didn't expect the crowing of a rooster.
He wailed wildly and thrashed, then the next thing he knew, he tipped, then flopped onto his front, burying his face into a wooden floor.
He groaned...
There was a thumping of feet coming up the stairs.
His face throbbed.
The door slowly opened and Malon poked her head in.
He didn't look up.
She giggled, "You're silly... even the others woke up normally."
A few distorted sounds came from under his mass of golden blonde, brown hair.
"Hm?" She blinked, "What was that?"
He finally lifted his head, "...I said... I think I broke my face."
She giggled hysterically before stopping with a grin, "Still looks handsome to me."
He blushed, 'Stop being so random! Too early...!"
She giggled at his redness, 'See you downstairs for breakfast!"
she left, slamming the door.
The loudness made his head throb.
"Way too damned early..." He pouted, then went to crawl back in bed.
Later on, he finally went outside, and saw the others talking to the old man.
"You wanna learn Epona's song?"
Link jumped, the spun around, Malon being right there, "...Uhm... Epona? She has a song?" It clicked, "That tune you were using to calm her."
"Right." She nodded happily, 'Here, lemme show you. its only a few simple notes.."
It took a few minutes, but he got it.
once he did, Epona almost trampled him over to come say goodbye.
However, once the goodbyes were said, Link looked over to Zelda as they began to leave, "...Something wrong?"
She looked over, "I didn't get a chance to learn a thing about Ranching, really..."
He blinked, "...You're the WEIRDEST princess I've ever met."
She smiled, unable to help it, "...Better get used to it, Leon."
The journey was quiet then, the other three only quietly walking, guiding the way. Leon expected Ganondorf to appear out of nowhere, but he didn't. Hm. What was on his mind?
Then his eyes caught where they were headed...
a castle poked up in the distance, it's majesty breathtaking in the least, it's white marble was polished and shiny even after much wear from weather. The shine was soft, not something to cause the eyes ill.
Hyrule Castle.
The castle market was full and cheerful, people everywhere beginning to shop in the morning rush.
Everything was alive.
However, it seemed that there was at least one person who stood out among the crowd.
Link recognized him as the Red Lion.
The man approached as Zelda smiled, "I didn't expect you..."
The man raised a eyebrow as blonde as the rest of his hair, "...Likewise. Here to consult the Deities?"
"Yes, we are." Zelda gestured past the other three, to Link, 'Link here has a trial to go through."
Leon gulped, looking up the golden chain mail and red plate armor, "...."
The man watched him fiercely, "...He is to be the Hero?"
Nods all around.
Link felt dumb. and in his garb? Very underdressed.
"Not much of a hero."
Damn skippy. Or so thought Link. This guy was sharp...
"Let me take him to the castle courtyard. in two days we'll have him shaped up proper to wield that sword at his back the once or twice he'll have to."
Link blinked, "Once or twice..?"
They all looked at him.
Zelda smiled, "Yes, because soon, it'll be replaced by the Master Sword..."
Dun dun DUUUUUNNNNN. Yes, I know there's a lot of old elements in it but remember that the series of legend of Zelda has some of these repetitive elements. Trust me wehn I say ou should expect more than a half-assed plot, based off the games, my friends.
This is no visit eight dungeons and final showdown.
This is a thinker.
I hope this is at least interesting, because soon, you will see how Link SHOULD be able to fight XD
I don't like tooting my own horn, but fighting scenes are a specialty I KNOW I have.
Peace.
